In alignment with our Awin Group data security measures, we are excited to announce new user password security policies for ShareASale – enhancing consumer data security at a time when data breaches are becoming increasingly common.
On or after June 23, we will be enforcing a new password policy to apply to all partners, as part of our ongoing efforts to keep individual users accounts and our network safe and secure. This change has been designed with ample user guidelines and resources to help all clients easily ensure they are using a strong password to protect their account. This new added layer of security is mandatory and will only take a few minutes to implement.
When logging into your ShareASale account, if you do not meet the new requirements you will be prompted to update your password. All passwords must include the following criteria:
-
At least 8 characters long
-
At least 5 different characters
-
Must include a number
-
Must be unique. i.e. cannot be ‘aaabbbb1’ or 1234566
-
Password will be checked against a list of common compromised passwords
In addition to our new password policy, all users will be asked to confirm their business mailing address upon login to ensure we’re able to provide you with any and all applicable documents associated with your ShareASale account. Please enter as accurate of an address as possible. We will suggest post-registers corrections where applicable, however, you are free to use whichever address most appropriately suits your business needs.
Should you have any additional questions about the ShareASale password or address update, our team is happy to assist.
