With Microsoft announcing that Skype will be shutting down in May, MaxBounty will be moving its instant-messaging communication to the free, cloud-based app Telegram!
Telegram will replace Skype as the primary way to communicate with your MaxBounty Affiliate Manager or Advertiser Account Manager. Email and phone will also continue to be available options.
Although this switch is out of necessity, Telegram offers several benefits to users that Skype did not, including:
- The ability to sign-in through Facebook
- Two-way opt-in to avoid unsolicited messages
- Increased account protection and security
What To Do If You’re A MaxBounty Publisher
If you’re a MaxBounty publisher, you can connect with your Affiliate Manager on Telegram in seconds by logging in to your account and following the instructions on the pop-up. This pop-up will allow you to add them by either clicking the link or scanning the QR code provided.
If you do not see the pop-up upon logging in and did not already interact with it, you can access the QR code by clicking on their name in the top left corner. You can also contact your Affiliate Manager directly through the email or phone info provided in the same section or on Skype until May.
Once you have created your Telegram account, we ask that you please update your handle in your MaxBounty account settings.
What To Do If You’re A MaxBounty Advertiser
If you’re a MaxBounty Advertiser who communicates with your Advertiser Account Manager on Skype, please ask them for their Telegram info next time you’re talking to them, or contact them sooner by using your usual contact method.
You can download Telegram to your desktop or mobile device here.
See you on the other side!
